Hurricane Melissa Support

Hurricane Melissa is a category 5 “tropical cyclone” storm that has left Jamaica, ½ of our CEO’s home lands, and parts of the Caribbean, unrecognizable with great devastation. Parishes have been dismantled, homes are broken, and families from abroad have had no contact with loved ones since. Its development was first noticed on October 16th from West Africa, then made its way to the Caribbean Sea on October 21st, 2025. The hurricanes’ peak occurred on the island of Jamaica, on October 28th, 2025. Hurricane Melissa is now listed as one of the strongest storms on record; tying 1935 Labor Day Hurricane as the most intense landfalling Atlantic hurricane.

Message from CEO and Founder, Tyler Anderson:

“Being a Barbadian & Jamaican first-generation is something I wear with pride. It breaks my heart to not only witness my dear family and friends mourn the loss of their homes, belongings of memories that can't be replaced, and the fear of not knowing if their loved ones are okay, but to also watch this catastrophe unfold; causing widespread damage to our beloved island, Jamaica. I had to put my phone down, exit out of social media for a few, just to sit in these emotions, while I try not to internalize the videos, pictures, cries, news articles, and updates on this global heartbreak.

Though the island will never be the same, Jamaica is home of strength, faith, and love. The Caribbean is what we like to say, “one people, one love”. I know that Jamaica, and the rest of the Caribbean countries who were greatly impacted by Hurricane Melissa, will come out on top, stronger than ever before. I say this with faith, but also with hope that we as lovers of the culture and vacationing in the Caribbean, do our part.

To help families in need and restore our beautiful islands, please spread accurate information and research organizations and platforms before sending your monetary donations. Unfortunately, there will always be people who take advantage of such vulnerable situations for their own greed. In this case, please be careful and verify the legitmacy of the organization before inputting your information.

Lastly, my prayers and love goes out to every weary heart. To those who are awaiting phone calls from their loved ones, updates on their homes, and/or simply ready to take a flight to the Caribbean, we are in this together. To help, I will be making my own personal donations to families and friends in Jamaica. 25%  of The Tee Affect proceeds from November 1st-30th, 2025 will be donated directly to https://supportjamaica.gov.jm/. 25% of The Tee Affect Hair proceeds from November 1st-30th, 2025, will be donated directly to families and friends in Jamaica.

If you’d like to spread the word and/or want to find ways to help. You can start by reviewing the information we’ll insert below. Thank you for your support.

With love,

CEO & Founder of The Tee Affect and The Tee Affect Hair”.
